Stepping into the morning sun helps your brain reset its natural clock and release serotonin, the chemical that supports happiness, calm, and concentration.

This World Brain Day, just start with these 3 simple habits:

  • Morning Sunlight
    10–15 minutes of exposure to natural light within an hour of waking can:
    Regulate your child’s sleep-wake cycle
    Boost serotonin (the “happy hormone”)
    Improve focus and energy through the day
  •  Movement Before Screens
    Encourage some physical movement before screen time—a walk, stretching, or jumping jacks. It stimulates blood flow to the brain, supports emotional regulation, and enhances learning.
  • Mini “Brain Breaks”
    During homework or study, take 5-minute pauses every 25–30 minutes. Includes rest, movement, or a light stretch without the screen. These tiny resets improve memory and reduce frustration.
